Department: Street
Position: Administrative Assistant
Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Reconciliation
- Payroll
- Main Office Reception
- Works with City Controller’s Office to ensure all claims are paid in a timely manner and all audits are conducted effectively and efficiently
- Maintains Q-Alert System for Department
- Cleans and maintains Main Office area and Office Restroom
- Sorts and distributes incoming mail
- Maintains Time Off Calendar for the Department
- Assists with uniform management
- Assists with memorandums and file management
- Works with Human Resources to ensure all worker’s compensation claims are filed in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintains employee records
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Must be highly organized
- Must work well with other employees
- Must work well with the public and other municipal departments
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Works and Excel
- Must have a working knowledge of all office related electronics (Fax, Phone, Computer, Copier, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience: 3 years of experience working in an office setting preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
