Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
- Responsible for coordinating driver assignments and scheduling.
- Responsible for overseeing transit operations.
- Directs and influences Street Driver employees.
- Responsible for overseeing garage operations.
- Generates garage reports.
- Places all purchase orders.
- Trains new drivers and coordinates training for compliance regulations.
- Ensures fare boxes are counted daily.
- Dispatches incoming calls and communicates instructions to drivers.
- Answers incoming calls and greets customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Considerable knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices that impact the department.
- Considerable ability to lead and influence others.
- Working ability to interpret laws and regulations.
- Considerable knowledge of FTA regulations.
- Considerable ability to work well with others, and to assist others cooperatively and courteously.
- Considerable knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Considerable ability to answer multiply phone lines.
- Working ability to prioritize assignments.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Working ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Detailed oriented.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience: 2 years clerical experience. 2 years management experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Working Conditions: Office setting.
Special Requirements: Must own a vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects and use a keyboard.
- Ability to see within normal parameters.
- Ability to hear within normal range.
- Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s).
