Reports to: Building and Grounds Foreman
Summary: Keeps premises of office building, and other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:
Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following).
- Maintain buildings, lift stations, lawn and landscaping to present a good appearance. This may include: painting, structural repair, weeding/weed-eating, grass cutting.
- Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways and meeting rooms in WWTP main office and other facilities.
- Service lawn equipment on minor repair and routine maintenance.
- Observe safety protocols at all times including proper use of PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Foreman, Assistant Foreman or Plant Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Considerable ability to work well with others.
- Working ability to solve technical problems.
- CDL license must be obtained before or within the first 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of a variety of lawn equipment such as lawn mower, weed eater and blowers.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Education/Training: None required, maintenance experience is preferred.
Working Conditions: In and outdoor environments, including extreme heat and extreme cold, insects will be present.
Physical Requirements:
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects.
- Ability to see within normal parameters.
- Ability to hear within normal range.
- Able to carry weight up to 75 lbs.
- Manual dexterity in hands and legs to use tools, bend and stretch.
- Able to climb ladders and steps repeatedly throughout assigned shift.
- Performance of manual labor including but not limited to: mowing, weed-eating, painting and various other activities.
