Reports To: Golf Pro
FLSA: Part Time -Seasonal
Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
- Keep order, ensure prompt tee off, and maintain flow of golfers as they prepare to play the course
- Make sure all golfers have starting tickets (receipts)
- Know all rules and enforce them
- Record and report all complaints to the Golf Pro
- See that play moves along steadily, asking slow golfers if faster golfers may play through
- Complete accident/incident reports for all accidents on the course
- Provide excellent customer service – display a positive and professional attitude at all times
Essential Job Functions
- Groups golfers into foursomes to ensure efficient use of tee times
- Travels golf course checking for compliance to established rules of etiquette and policy
- Enforces established rules
- Ability to deal effectively with public- especially unhappy customers and / or those not following established rules and etiquette.
- Works with Pro Shop Staff to ensure enjoyable golf experience for all golf course customers
Education, Experience & Training
- High School education or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- General knowledge of golf
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to drive a golf cart
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of the Game of Golf and its rules and etiquette
